Notable achievements by Couple in the USA

• August 2004 our fourth demo CD-R, titled Listening to the Pop received a very positive review in an American web magazine called Nighttimes , in which our demo was reviewed alongside albums from America and France . As a result, we have been getting enquiries from overseas record labels ever since.

• August 2006 invited to play at International Pop Overthrow festival in Los Angeles and San Francisco, which we had to decline because of lack of funds

• August 2006 featured and quoted in the Los Angeles Journal in their article about that year’s International Pop Overthrow festival in Los Angeles

• August 2006 our song “Gotta Be My Gurl” included in the International Pop Overthrow Vol. 9 compilation CD of which 1000 copies were given free to the International Pop Overhtrow festival attendees. Artists who have previously been on the previous volumes of the compilation include Fountains Of Wayne (Grammy Awards Nominee and of “Stacy’s Mom” fame), Jellyfish, Brendan Benson (currently a member of The Raconteurs)

• October 2006 Our debut album received a great review by Amplifier Magazine

• 28 th November 2006 Our debut album was released in America by Sizzleteen Records, a New York based record label.

• December 2006 Our song “Now That I Can See” used as part of the promotional campaign for a new Los Angeles based teen-girl fashion label called Bitch Kitty. The song will be included in a promo CD/DVD that is planned to be distributed to outlets selling the label’s clothing line and also at shopping malls, concerts and other places deemed suitable for their target audience, namely teenage girls

• December 2006 Picked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of their “25 Best Bands on Myspace”

• January 2007 Our song “Now That I Can See’ was picked as one of Rightround Magazine’s Top 10 songs of the week

• Airplay in North America :

1. La Photo Sonore radio show in Canada on CKUM Radio J, 93.5 fm;

2. The Time Machine radio show in Hawaii on WILD 105.5 fm KPMW, KONI 104.7 fm and KEAO 91.5 fm Mana’O Radio.

3. Songs For The Whippersnapper radio show in Claremont , Southern California on KSPC Radio 88.7 fm.

4. Undiscovered Radio Network show on X106.3fm WAMX in Huntington , WV and Eagle 107.5fm WEGW in Wheeling , WV .

5. Indie Pop Rocks radio show on the popular SomaFM internet radio station

• We have also received further requests from other radio shows in America to play our music, like on The Think Tank radio show at KAOS 89.3 fm in Olympia , Washington and the widely syndicated Little Steven’s Underground Garage radio show.

Notable achievements by Couple in Asia

• 24 th June 2006 performed at the Fete De La Musique in Bandung which was held at the Auditorium of Bandung’s Centre Culturel Francais

• June 2006 recorded 2 songs for Aksara Records (the record label that released such high profile independent releases such as the soundtrack to the films Janji Joni and Berbagi Suami), with a view to including the songs in the planned Jakarta Sekarang Vol. 2 compilation (in which we will be the sole Malaysian band participating)

• September 2006 The music video for the first single off our debut album, “Now That I Can See” has so far received airplay on MTV Asia on their Pop Inc., MTV Rock It and MTV Jus shows. • November 2006 performed at Fat Festival 6 in Bangkok on the 11 th & 12 th of November 2006, probably the biggest music festival in Thailand , with in excess of 100,000 attendees per instalment in the past few years. We have also been getting steady airplay on Thailand ’s FAT Radio 104.5fm

• 18 th January 2007 Our debut album released in Japan by the Wizzard In Vinyl label, with 4 exclusive bonus tracks together with the video of our first single Now That I Can See as Enhanced CD content

• April 2007 our cover of the song “Takkan Pernah Melupakanmu” (by the Indonesian band Naif) is included on the potentially high-profile Tribute To Naif compilation, slated for release in April 2007 by Aksara Records in Indonesia to celebrate the 10 th anniversary of Naif

• 26 th April 2007 performed at the launch concert of Mesin Waktu – Teman-Teman Menyanyikan Lagu Naif compilation, which was broadcast live on the Prambors radio station in Jakarta , Indonesia .

• We have also been receiving steady airplay for the music video of our song “Now That I Can See” on local television stations like 8TV, NTV7 and Hitz.tv on Astro’s Channel 16.

• Our song “Are You Ready” from our debut album will also be used in an upcoming new TV advertisement for Axe deodorant. Currently Unilever (the brand owner) has planned to air it in Indonesia beginning somewhere in 2007, and might also acquire the song for their ads in Thailand , Philippines and India .

• Our debut album will also see a release in Indonesia in early 2007 on Aksara Records.
